App requirements and UX guidelines

Every provider must have a graphic identifier. This image is used in checkout and the Shopify admin to offer a quick visual indicator of the pickup point provider. This graphic must be easily identifiable, because users will see it at various sizes and in different contexts.

Using a highly recognized brand color and logo results in optimal identification across all touchpoints. The following are some guidelines:

• Enclose the asset in a circle with padding around the logo.
• Include a desired background color. Don't use a transparent file.

Aligning your content with the existing checkout and Shopify admin experiences results in a better user experience. Adhere to the following guidance for content elements to successfully integrate your pickup points:

1. Location name: Use the exact location name. This name is used to reference the pickup point location at checkout and in the Shopify admin.

2. Location address: Format the pickup point's address correctly for the region that it's in.

3. Shipping provider name: Use the exact provider's name, so that it's familiar to all users. The name displays with and without the icon, so don't rely only on an icon to signify the provider.

4. Opening hours: Define a location’s hours with either a single window or with multiple windows. If you don't set a window, then the hours display as Closed. You can also choose to not define any opening hours for a location.

   Format the time for the market that the location is in. For example, use a 12-hour clock for addresses in North America.
